efficiency - air source heat pumps

Air source heat pumps

  • Some 70% of the energy is generated for free - whilst you enjoy a constant, pleasant level of temperature and comfort throughout both the winter and summer because a major advantage is that the system doubles as an efficient heating and cooling system.
  • A high efficiency heat pump can provide up to four times as much heat as an electric heater using the same energy by absorbing the heat in the outside air. This heat is constantly being renewed naturally.
  • There is a close correlation between a person's performance and the temperature of their immediate surroundings; an environment that is excessively hot, cold or damp will diminish anyone's working efficiency and temperament.
efficiency - maximising light

Maximising light

  • Sun tubes are fitted as standard to maximise the natural light sources wherever possible to reduce electricity use and reduce carbon emissions.
  • We use high quality low-energy light fittings - ones that we helped Whitecroft lighting systems develop - fitted with PIR motion sensors to ensure lights are only on when needed.
  • Suspended lighting is used to maximise the spread of light to all surfaces in the room.
efficiency - doors and windows

Doors and windows

  • We use Poly Powder coated aluminium frames with double glazing with toughened glass and low e-glass to reduce the solar gain.
  • Trickle ventilators optimise the air-flow and we fit secure locking systems.
  • All our products are a low maintenance option with warranties.
  • Bi-folding doors and veranda areas are often incorporated to blend with outdoor and free-flow spaces.
efficiency - high quality design

High quality design

  • High quality specifications are fitted as standard; these include superb levels of insulation, high quality PVC doors and windows, specialist lighting systems, fire and security systems, and air source heat pump systems to heat and cool the space.
  • We also build on the level ground - to remove the need for steps or ramps, and have smooth and flush internal finishes.
  • We are mindful to reduce the on-going building maintenance costs.
  • External cladding options: to date we've incorporated Trespa cladding and render on a panel, showing a versatile range of colour and finishes.
  • Rain-harvesting options and PV solar panels can easily be incorporated.

"Just to say that everyone is super happy with the work and finished project at St Paul's and St Michael's School. I would definitely appoint and work with eco-classrooms again. The quality of the workmanship and materials is very good..."
